Build a cash-pay body-contouring service around your existing practice. These FunSculpting provider FAQs explain the payment math, operating costs, harvesting option and launch questions that matter to a practice owner.
How many procedures per month can cover the equipment payment?
One procedure can cover an illustrative $4,400 monthly equipment payment in gross collections. At a collected price of $6,500, one procedure leaves $2,100 after that payment, before staffing, supplies, marketing, overhead and taxes. These are planning assumptions, not a financing offer or guaranteed result. Replace both figures with your actual pricing and written financing quote.
Use the practice revenue calculator to see the payment coverage and remaining amount at your own monthly volume.
What does the math look like after operating costs?
Subtract direct procedure costs and monthly overhead as well as the equipment payment. For example: $6,500 collected − $750 in direct costs − $1,000 in monthly overhead − $4,400 equipment payment = $350 remaining before taxes and any other expenses. This example assumes one procedure in the month; your costs may differ.
The monthly break-even calculation is: (equipment payment + monthly overhead) ÷ (collected price per procedure − direct cost per procedure), rounded up to a whole procedure. A procedure priced below its direct costs does not contribute toward the equipment payment.
How does adding adipose / stem-cell harvesting change the model?
Model harvesting as an optional service with its own collected revenue, laboratory charges and direct costs. The calculator combines the two service lines while subtracting the shared equipment payment only once. If harvesting is already included in the body-contouring price, enter only additional revenue that your practice actually collects; do not count the same payment twice.
The calculator’s $4,500 laboratory-cost field is an unconfirmed planning placeholder. Confirm the lab’s current charge, what it includes and who pays it before relying on the estimate. If the patient pays the laboratory directly, exclude that payment from your practice’s revenue and set the corresponding practice-paid lab expense to $0. The harvesting option does not by itself establish approval or suitability for any downstream treatment.
Which practices should explore FunSculpting?
Medspas and aesthetic practices, weight-management clinics, hormone / TRT practices, functional medicine offices, plastic surgery practices and dermatology groups can assess the opportunity against their existing patients, clinical capabilities and growth plans. Start with a realistic monthly case target and a defined clinical workflow.
Can body contouring complement an existing weight-management program?
It can be evaluated as an additional cash-pay service for a practice that already offers weight management. Build the business case around patient interest, clinical assessment, staffing and available room time. Weight-loss treatment or GLP-1 use alone does not establish suitability for a body-contouring procedure.
Who performs the procedures, and what training is needed?
Define responsibilities for the specific procedure before planning staffing. A physician or other appropriately qualified clinical lead should review patient selection, supervision, required credentials and the equipment’s instructions for use. Discuss hands-on training, initial-case support and staff onboarding during your walkthrough; confirm the current training package in writing.
What should a practice budget for before launch?
Include the equipment payment or purchase price, clinical and staff training time, supplies, room preparation, marketing, consultation time and ongoing support. For harvesting, add any applicable laboratory, handling and procedure costs. Allow for a gradual ramp-up instead of assuming a full schedule from month one.
What should we cover on a practice-growth call?
Bring your specialty, existing services, available team, room capacity, target collected price and expected monthly case volume. We can use those inputs to discuss service fit and the implementation questions that need answers. Request the current equipment configuration, itemized quote, financing terms, training scope and applicable device documentation before making a purchase decision.
